Our Causes
We work to address the systems and policies that undermine family stability and autonomy.
The family court system often incentivizes divorce and family breakup through biased custody arrangements, financial rewards for separation, and adversarial processes that pit parents against each other. We advocate for reforms that promote reconciliation, fair custody arrangements that prioritize children's well-being, and systems that support intact families rather than incentivize their dissolution.
CPS interventions often occur without sufficient evidence and sometimes target intact, loving families for minor issues that could be resolved through support rather than removal. We support reforms that ensure children are only removed from homes when there is genuine danger, that families receive support and resources before removal is considered, and that parental rights are respected throughout the process.
Current social welfare programs often create disincentives for marriage and work, promoting dependency and family breakup. We advocate for welfare reforms that support rather than replace the family, that encourage work and self-sufficiency, and that do not penalize families for staying together. Programs should empower families, not trap them in cycles of dependency.
Mandatory public education requirements and curriculum mandates often override parental authority and values. We advocate for school choice, homeschooling freedoms, and the right of parents to control their children's education according to their values. Parents should have the resources and opportunity to educate their children as they see fit, whether through public, private, religious, or home education.
The criminal justice system often separates families unnecessarily, lacks restorative justice approaches, and fails to consider the impact on children and spouses. We advocate for reforms that keep families intact when possible, that consider family circumstances in sentencing, and that provide support for families affected by incarceration. Justice should serve families, not destroy them.
Domestic violence allegations are sometimes used strategically in divorce proceedings without sufficient evidence or due process, leading to false accusations that can destroy families and remove children from loving parents. We advocate for proper investigation procedures, evidentiary standards, and due process protections while ensuring genuine victims receive protection. The system must distinguish between real abuse and tactical allegations.
No-fault divorce laws have made dissolution of marriage too easy, removing accountability and commitment from the marital contract. We advocate for reforms that maintain the seriousness of marriage as a commitment, that require counseling or waiting periods for divorce, and that consider the impact on children. Marriage should be protected as a foundational institution of society.
Government mandates on vaccinations, medical treatments, and other health and education requirements often override parental judgment and religious beliefs. We advocate for parental exemptions, informed consent rights, and the ability of parents to make medical and educational decisions for their children without government coercion. Parents know their children best and should have final authority over their well-being.
Third-party NGOs and grant-funded organizations often push policies that undermine family structures without democratic accountability. We advocate for transparency in NGO activities, limits on their influence on public policy, and reduced reliance on grant-funded advocacy that may not reflect the values of local communities. Policy should be determined by elected representatives accountable to families, not by unelected organizations.
Tax policies, employment laws, and economic regulations often make it difficult for a single-earner household to support a family on one income. We advocate for tax policies that support families, work arrangements that allow flexibility for parents, and economic systems that make it economically viable for families to have a parent at home raising children. The economy should serve families, not require both parents to work outside the home.
